Offaly Senior & Masters Track & Field Championships
Well done to our members who competed in the Offaly Senior & Masters Track & Field Championships, held on home ground at Tullamore Harriers on Thursday, 23rd July.
On a beautiful summer evening in our club stadium, 27 Tullamore Harriers athletes took to the track and field, producing some great performances.
Congratulations to everyone who competed and represented the club so well. Medals will be presented to the championship winners at the Annual Offaly Athletics Awards Ceremony in November.

Tullamore Harriers Trio compete at British & Irish Mountain Running Trials.
Three Tullamore Harriers athletes produced strong performances at the Irish Mountain Running Association (IMRA) B&I Junior Mountain Running Championship trials at Glenbarrow, Co. Laois, on Saturday, 25th July.
The picturesque but demanding Glenbarrow course tested athletes over challenging forest trails, steep climbs and technical descents. The U18 trial covered 6.4km, while the U20 race was contested over a 7.7km course with approximately 220 metres of ascent.
After the prolonged spell of hot weather, competitors welcomed the cool, drizzly conditions, which made for much more comfortable racing on the tough mountain terrain.
Tullamore Harriers was represented by Polly Duffy, Patrick Duffy and Elise Cusack, with all three producing strong performances. The standout result came from Elise Cusack, who finished as the third U18 girl home, securing her place on the Irish team for the British & Irish Junior Mountain Running Championships in Newcastle, Co. Down, on the 12th of September.
BnM Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon
With less than four weeks to go, excitement is building for the BnM Tullamore Harriers Half Marathon on Saturday, August 29th. A record 1,400 entries sold out within weeks of registration opening, underlining the event's growing popularity. Held annually on the last Saturday of August, the half marathon has become a key fixture on the athletics calendar, providing the ideal opportunity for runners preparing for the Dublin City Marathon and other autumn races.
The event will see runners tackle a challenging but fair course through the scenic countryside around Tullamore. Starting at 10.00am on the Charleville Road at the junction with Dillon Street, the route takes runners through Mucklagh, along the Ross Road to Ballinacanty Cross, through Killurin, before finishing with a lap of the Tullamore Harriers track.
Tullamore Harriers is sincerely grateful for the continued support of BnM, Offaly County Council, An Garda Síochána, Offaly Civil Defence, the event's sponsors, residents and the hundreds of volunteers whose commitment makes the race possible each year.
