Club Record for Maddie
Maddie Mooney continues her outstanding performance on the track with another superb run in Tampere, Finland (12th of July).
Competing in the 800m at the Motonet GP Tampere, Maddie finished in an excellent 4th place, recording a personal best of 2:01.35. In the process, she smashed her own Tullamore Harriers club record of 2:02.90, which she set in May of this year in Los Angeles.
This superb performance was only 4 days after her impressive 1500m victory at the Motonet GP Joensuu in Finland on Wednesday, 8th of July.
Maddie clocked 4:13.58, another great performance as she builds towards the National Senior Track & Field Championships at Morton Stadium on the 25th and 26th of July
Gold for Laoise Kelly at the National Juvenile B Championships.
A huge congratulations to Laoise Kelly, who claimed gold in the Shot Put at the National Juvenile B Championships in Tullamore on Sunday the 12th of July, with a superb winning throw of 6.59m.
Evie Mahon also had a great day, producing a personal best of 1:58.14 in the 600m to finish a very respectable 8th overall in a highly competitive field. Both girls also recorded new personal bests in the 60m, capping off a fantastic day of athletics.
Harriers Compete in All Ireland Juveniles
Three of Tullamore Harriers squad of juvenile squad of middle-distance runners lined out in their respective 1500m races on Day 3 of the National Juvenile Championships (11th July). There were medals but gutsy runs so from all three and they will have gained valuable experience

Frank Kilrane 10 Mile
Well done to all 22 Tullamore Harriers members who proudly represented the club at the Frank Kilrane 10 Mile, hosted by Edenderry A.C. on Sunday, 12th of July. The race incorporated the Offaly Athletics 10 Mile Championships, while also serving as Race 3 of the Offaly Endurance Series and Race 7 of the Peugeot Race Series.
It was a very hot morning for racing, with competitors facing a challenging, undulating course but huge credit must go to Edenderry A.C. for a superbly organised event with plentiful water stations throughout the race,
A high-quality field lined out in both the men's and women's races. The top three men were - 1st Ryan Creech Leevale A.C. 2nd Sean Tobin (Clonmel A.C. and 3rd Aaron Hanlon Drogheda & District A.C. and the top ladies were - 1st Sorcha Nic Dhomhnaill West Limerick A.C., 2nd Cheryl Nolan St Abban's A.C. and 3rd Íde Nic Dhomhnaill West Limerick A.C.
Kevin Minnock led the club home in 4th place, followed closely by Paul Mitchell in 5th and together with Barry Minnock and Jonathan Dunne, combined to win the Offaly Men's Team prize. Barry was 1st O50.
Charlotte Abbott was our fastest lady and she claimed the 1st O40 prize. The Tullamore ladies were 5th in the team competition.
The Peugeot Team Prize, awarded to the first three men and first three women from the same club, was won by the host club, Edenderry A.C.

James Dunne at Morton Games
The Morton Games returned to Dublin on Friday evening, 10th of July, bringing together many of Ireland’s leading athletes alongside top international competitors. Part of the Continental Tour Bronze, the event is regarded as one of Europe’s premier athletics meetings.
Representing Tullamore Harriers, James Dunne lined up for the famous and iconic Morton Mile, competing against a high-quality international field in extremely warm conditions.
The race was won by American Sam Prakel in 3:50.97, marking his 2nd Morton Mile win and setting a new Morton Mile record, (improving on the previous mark of 3:51.12 set by Andrew Coscoran in 2025).
James produced a superb performance to finish 10th in 3:55.61, continuing his excellent form on the track. He now turns his focus towards a return to Morton Stadium on 25th July for the National Senior Track & Field Championships.
British Milers Club Grand Prix
Danielle Donegan competing in the Women's A 3000m at the British Milers Club Grand Prix in Watford on Saturday the 11th of July was 7th finisher in 9.20.
Cork City Athletics Track & Field
Ava O' Connor competed in the 3000m at the Cork City Athletics - World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze on the 8th of July. Ava finished in 15th place in 9.33.31
Leinster Bronze for Barry.
Barry Mooney was 3rd in the Senior Men's 5000m at the Leinster Senior Track and Field championships in Carlow on the 23rd of May with a time of 16.53
