COUNTY TITLES FOR KEANE AND GRENNAN
The Offaly Cross Country season continued last Sunday with the Intermediate titles up for grabs. On a bright morning the underfoot conditions were firm with not much soft ground or muck in sight. Maire-Triona Keane added the Intermediate title to last Sundays Novice title when finishing a clear winner ahead of Mary Daly. Melissa Temple ran a very steady race to take her first cross country medal in third place with Ann Marie McNamara completing the fourth place for the team gold.

Catch Grennan is winning all around him these days and was in control from the start coming home 43 seconds ahead of John Harkin (unattached) in second place. Barry Lambe and Damien Lawlor had a great duel with Barry finishing stronger to take the bronze medal. Michael Murphy completed the team scoring for the team gold.

RACE ROUND UP
The annual Rathfarnham 5k road race was held on Sunday 7th October and attracted the usual high class field among the 300 participants. Pauline Curley ran 16.25 to place 37th overall and finish 3rd lady behind Deirdre Byrne 16.08 and Maria McCambridge 16.13. John Todd ran 17.31 for 58th overall and 1st over 55. Jim Langan made the short trip to Tarmonbarry Co Longford for the annual 6k road race and ran 28.17 to take 1st place over 60.

Sunday 18th November, Club Winter League Round 1, Charleville Estate at 10am.
Sunday 25th November, AAI Inter Counties Cross Country, The Curragh, Co Kildare.
Training : Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm, Sunday morning at 8.30am (except on a race day) all are welcome.
A reminder to all club athletes training on the roads, with the arrival of the dark evenings it is important to be seen on our busy roads. So remember to light up, wear a reflective vest or belt and flashing armbands.
A number of club annual trophies/shields have gone missing, so if you have one at home or know somebody who has one we would appreciate their return.
