WIN FOR GRENNAN IN DEVERY SHIELD
The annual cross country against Ballyfin for the P Devery shield took place on Sunday morning in Charleville. Conditions were good for the 4k event although it was quite windy but luckily the race was finished before the snow showers arrived. Tullamore Harriers took the first three place with Catch Grennan leading the field home. Behind Declan Fahey and John Donegan gave chase but Grennan was always in control. There was a fine turnout of 35 for the event and the return leg will take place in Emo Court on a date to be arranged.

CELTIC INTERNATIONAL HONOUR FOR HANNON
Eoin Hannon was in Cardiff on Sunday for the Celtic International Indoor Cup which see the best juniors of Ireland, Wales and Scotland taking part. Eoin has been showing good indoor form in the long jump and he improved on his 7.24 in Belfast last week by jumping 7.32 to finish in second place.

RACE ROUND UP
The placings from last weeks Raheny 5 were John Todd overall 106th in 29.46 and Ciaran McGovern 331st in 34.25 for 14th place in the over 55 section. The BHAA North County Farmers 5 mile cross country was held in Swords last Saturday and John Todd was 1st over 55 in 31.08 finishing in 35th place overall.                

Fixtures :
Sunday 10th February, AAI Intermediate and Masters Cross Country, Wexford.
Saturday 16th February, AAI Masters Indoor Championships, Nenagh.
             

Training :
Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm, Sunday morning at 8.30am (except on a race day) all are welcome.

Circuit training led by Adrian Brennan every Wednesday at 7pm.  

The club wishes to extend condolences to the Hensey family and Ger Hensey on the death of his father Cletus.
