Buckley Wins Ferbane 4 Miles
The Annual Ferbane 4 Mile Road Race took place last Sunday in dry and warm conditions. There was a big turnout of athletes from Tullamore Harriers competing.

Local Ferbane man, Paul Buckley, led from start to finish to come home a clear winner in a time of 20.33. There was a good battle for the minor placing with John Harkin edging out P.J. Carroll for second place and Martin Carroll taking fourth place.

Pauline Curley was first lady home in 23.26 with Liz Cuskelly second and Maire Triona Keane third. Adidas Dublin Half-Marathon
There was a huge cheer for Olympian Pauline Curley when she was introduced as the starter for the Adidas Half-Marathon in Dublin last Saturday. Pauline then joined the field of almost 4000 runners who set out on a two lap course around the Phoenix Park. The women’s race was won by Annette Kealy in 1.17.42. Second place went to Maria McCambridge in 1.18.52 followed home by Pauline Curley in 1.21.40. Adrian Martin continued his preparation for the Dublin City Marathon with a good run to finish in 209th place in time of 1.30.47.

Sunday 28th September 11.30am Ballinagar 5 mile Road Race.
Sunday 5th October 10am Offaly Novice and Masters Cross Country Championship, Charleville Estate Tullamore.
Training: Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm, Sunday morning at 8.30 am (except on a race day). New members are always welcome.
