21st March 2010- Results and Fixtures

Leinster Gold for Liz Cuskelly

The Leinster Senior 10k road championships were held in Enniscorthy, County Wexford last Sunday. The race was run over a tough course and the athletes had to contend with the windy conditions and some steep hills. Unfortnately we had no team competing in the women’s race but our lone representative Liz Cuskelly was victorious in a time of 39.40 and had thirty two seconds to spare over Claire Phelan from St Abbans.

The Tullamore men were led home by Catch Grennan in 6th place in 35.42 and he was well supported by John Harkin in 9th place followed by Mick Murphy 12th and Johnny Feery 14th. This gave the Harriers first place in the team competition and the above quartet were joined by Declan Madden in 22nd place and Tony McCormack in 29th to give the Offaly team second place behind the host county Wexford.
