MASTER’S GOLD FOR WALSH AND GRENNAN
The National Master Indoor Championships were held in Nenagh last Saturday and attracted a large number of athletes from around the country for a packed programme of events. Mary Walsh won three gold medals in winning the over 55 200m in 38.00, 400m in 88.02 and 800 in 3.18.20. A strong last lap saw Catch Grennan win gold in the over 35 800 with a time of 2.09.15. Jim Langan added to his cross country medal from last week with a bronze medal in the over 65 800m in 2.54.64. Also on the track Mick Fleming in the over 40 was 4th 200m 28.41 and 5th 400m 62.06, Adrian Brennan in the over 45 was 5th 60m 8.23 and Jim Dolan in the over 50 6th 60m 9.79.             

RACE ROUND UP
Pauline Curley was in Enniscorthy on Sunday last for the annual road race and ran 34.50 to win the 10k event. Martin Carroll took part in annual Garda/Army/Prison cross country held in the Phoenix Park on 30th January and finished 15th in 37 minutes for the 6 miles. At the BHAA Aer Lingus cross country in Swords last Saturday Martin Carroll was 17th in 31.15 for the 5 mile event and 2nd over 45 while John Todd was 36th in 32.48 and 1st over 55. Martin was also a member of the Prison Service team which won the team event.

Saturday 1st March, AAI Senior & Junior Cross Country, Queen’s University, Belfast.
Sunday 9th March, Leinster Senior, Junior & Master Indoor Championships, Nenagh.             

Club AGM Monday 3rd March at 8pm.

Training : Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm, Sunday morning at 8.30am (except on a race day) all are welcome.

Circuit training led by Adrian Brennan every Wednesday at 7pm.
