Harriers Teams in the Hunt after Round 1 of National League
The first rounds of the National League took place in Cork and Antrim last Sunday with both our Ladies and Men’s teams traveling to Cork. The Ladies are competing in division 1 and were drawn against Kerry, Kilkenny, Galway, Kildare and St Abbans. The Men are in the Premier division and were up against Leevale, St Abbans, West Waterford, Meath, Menapians, Dundrum South Dublin and Galway.

There was a great sense of team spirit in both Ladies and Mens teams and every athlete fought hard for points to help their teams cause. The ladies team finished in fourth position with 84 points behind Kerry, Kilkenny and St Abbens. The Men placed third on the day with 94 points behind St Abbens with 104 points and Meath on 103. Individual results were not available at the time of going to press and will be published next week.

Round 2 will take place on July 5th in either Dublin or Athlone and hopes are high that both teams can build on yesterdays performance and so qualify for the National League finals which will be held in Tullamore on August 8th.
