CLUB TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
The first round of the Club Track & Field Championships took place last Thursday night with teams captained by Ray Delaney, Adrian Martin and Jim Dolan. All events were very competitive as each team member looked to score maximum points. At the end of the night the points are very close with Team A (Ray Delaney) in front by a 4 points from Team B (Adrian Martin) and Team C (Jim Dolan) level on points. The next leg is on Tuesday 20th May with the 400, 3,000 and 6 x 200 relay on the track, field events are Long Jump and Javelin.

RACE ROUND UP
Competitors had a beautiful warm evening for round 1 of the Mullingar Road League held over 5k in Belvedere last Wednesday with 260 taking part. Official results are not yet available but Declan Fahey was second in 16.06 behind Paul Buckley of Ferbane AC in 15.57. Pauline Curley was the first woman in 17.23. The league continues for the next three Wednesdays starting at 8pm. At the BHAA Government Services 5 mile road race held in Dunboyne on Saturday last John Todd finished in 32nd place overall and was 1st over 55 in a time of 29.17. The track season got underway last Saturday evening with the AAI Games in Irishtown. Eoin Hannon finished 6th in the 100 metres in 11.45 and won the long jump with his first jump of 6.48 metres.

Training : Tuesday and Thursday at 6.30pm, Sunday morning at 8.30am (except on a race day) all are welcome.
Circuit training led by Adrian Brennan every Wednesday at 7pm.
