Second Win for Grennan in Spring League
The second leg of the Spring League was run off on Tuesday of last week and like the first leg attracted a big crowd of sixty one runners. The race was run over four laps of a circuit that started in the Harriers car park, out the front gate and then took a left onto Charleville road, left again up Adams Villa and returned to the Harriers via the back gate.
First leg winner Catch Grennan went into an early lead with Mark Serviss the only other runner managing to stay any where near the leader. Grennan ran strong throughout to come home an impressive winner, with Mark Serviss sticking to his task well and if anything was actually closing on Grennan towards the end. But Grennan had plenty in the tank and won by a margin of forty metres from Serviss with Richie Galvin having a good run in third place.
